About traveling to St.Petersburg Florida

traveling to St.Petersburg Florida?
We leave 4-27 to travel to st.petersburg Florida. I have never been there before. What is the weather normally like this time of year? And would it be warm enough to swim? Thanks!

Yes, it should be plenty warm to swim. I've visited the St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Tampa area several times and it's always been warm enough to swim this time of year. The weather is usually warm to a little hot, with some occasional thunderstorms. It's not as hot and humid as summer, so that's good. It's usually around 80 degrees F this time of year in the daytime. St. Petersburg has a beautiful Pier and beaches. Also, Caladesi Island, located just north of Clearwater Beach, is gorgeous. I took a ferry to get there, because no cars are allowed on the island. It has a very clean, lovely beach. I highly recommend going there since you'll be in the area.

Most of the tourist find it more than acceptable to swim in the weather this time of year. You'll find us locals still wearing our parkas though, lol. We're so spoiled
